MegaMicrobes^® Liquid's EPA Safer Choice Designation Identifies it as a "Best in Its Class" Product

MegaMicrobes' production laboratory has partnered with the US Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) in developing its products under the Safer Choice (formerly Design for the Environment)program which is a response to citizen interest in environmental safety and sustainability.

The purpose of the Safer Choice program is to help identify and develop environmentally safer products.

Once a product passes the specification of the Safer Choice program, the EPA allows the display of the EPA Safer Choice logo on the product. According to the EPA, this logo "allows customers to quickly identify and choose products that can help protect the environment and are safer for families."

In order to pass EPA Safer Choice requirements, a product must undergo a rigorous review by the EPA Safer Choice scientific review team. This team carefully screens each ingredient in the product for any potential human health and environmental effects. The team reviews not only the ingredient, but also its chemical structure to see how it could impact the environment and people.

Bioredex MegaMicrobes Liquid has been approved to display the EPA Safer Choice label, signifying it as being made of the safest possible ingredients. According to thge EPA, "THE Safer Choice allows use of the logo (on labels and advertising) only when a product is best in its class."

What does the Safer Choice label mean?

"When you see a product with the Safer Choice label, it means that every ingredient in the product has been reviewed by EPA scientists. Only products that meet our Safer Choice Standard, which includes stringent human health and environmental criteria, are allowed to carry the label.

Meeting the Safer Choice Standard is voluntary. Companies who manufacture Safer Choice products have invested heavily in research and reformulation to ensure that their ingredients and finished product line up on the green end of the health and environmental spectrum. These companies are leaders in safer products and sustainability.

Safer Choice products work well and are less toxic. They are safer for:

• You, your family, and pets; 
• Workers' health; and
• Fish and the environment.

In addition to safer ingredients, EPA's Safer Choice Standard also includes requirements for:

• performance,
• packaging,
• pH, and
• volatile organic compounds (VOCs)."
