Beverage lines in restaurants (and bars, concessions, convenience stores, etc.), such as those attached to soda or beer dispensers, are known for the development of beverage line sludge, commonly known as "sugar snakes". These "snakes" are grown from sugary overflow from the dispenser that drips down and forms in the beverage drain line. These waste material are firm in substance, like a squid, and can be up to 27 feet long. They are so thick that they completely fill the drain line preventing the passage of any water. Typical drain products have little effect on eliminating the snake.

MegaMicrobes BLC - Beverage Line Cleaner, is a digestant product made up of beneficial bacteria and enzymes that prevent the formation of the sugar snake and general carb-buildup when used regularly in the beverage line drain. Avoid the complications, and disposal of sugar snakes with regular use of MegaMicrobes BLC. BLC also has a positive effect on odors that emanate from beverage drain lines.

 USAGE:

MegaMicrobes BLC is designed to remove and prevent carbohydrate residue build-up in drainage lines that have a high sugar load such as lines draining beverage towers. Applications should be made daily just before a period of minimum drain usage such as right before closing an establishment.

For easiest application, apply undiluted BLC using an auto-dosing pump with timer adding 2.5 ounces per inch of drain line width on a daily basis.

For manual application BLC may be diluted 1 part to 10 in water and then applied in a ratio of 3 cups (24 oz.) diluted solution per inch of drain line width.

We recommend using a wall-mounted auto-dosing pump or a syringe (like a baster) to apply the BLC on a regular basis.
